I guess if you're still using an unmodded pipe rifle at level 35 then I could see that but if you haven't discovered and modded a legendary weapon that suits your damage perks by the time enemy DT spikes then I'll be real honest, and try to take this as constructive criticism, but, let me paraphrase Doc Holiday, here 'Maybe Fallout's just not your game. I thought I could build the gate a bit in front of the cement wall and cover up the space in between the two with regular wooden walls, or junk fences, but no - all the flavorful piles of junk on either side of the gate prevent walls (or even other junk fence sections!) from sitting adjacent to it, which leaves big gaps that are fitting for the ramshackle setting, but drive me nuts. There's a really cool gate under 'Junk Fences' that I'd like to use, but it's so bulky that I can't make it flush with the wall I'd built out of cement foundations. I've been trying to build a fortified entrance by the bridge into Sanctuary, and it's kind of driving me crazy.
